Modernity has simultaneously created more freedom and fear; we like the space to write our own rules, but sometimes wish we had a roadmap for life; we shun social norms but still look for security; and we like the adventure of the restless life, but still want to be rooted. One in every hundred marriages in India ends in divorce. But the search for a suitable boy is still a national pastime.
And perhaps, in the netherworld that lies between the head and the heart, are all our lives.

havent seen the movie yet....but liked the way she pressed her point..........it sure's a national pastime and its strange but even in sth as personal a choice as marriage, "peer pressure" plays a role!!!! weird, huh???

and i liked the white background here better ( my 2 cents , ignore them ) every time i come to a black-background blog, i start looking for snaps by reflex :DDDDD
"On a slant" had this background too till i decided it's too sophiticated for my writings :) :)
